DISCWORLD, bitches!!
Seriously, just... DISCWORLD.
I love it SO HARD. Have loved since I was, like, really little (twelve, I guess?). Anyhoo, I've read all of the thirtysomething books since then - some of them multiple times - and I must say it gets better and better. Geezus.
Today, I was just looking at all the collectibles and posters and badges and tote bags (!) you can get at the official web and it made me kinda sad, I'm such a huge fan and I don't own shit. So yeah, maybe I could start buying all the awesomeness :)
Also, yes, Discworld used to be this magical, all-good world, but it's gotten a little more etwined with our reality - I've learned some time ago that Terry Pratchett has suffered from Alzheimer's for years. He runs (supports? Dunno the details) this fund to help find the cure, yet he's a fierce supporter of legalizing euthanasia... It's all quite sad, 'cause everytime I think of Discworld now, I think of this... It used to represent something neverending for me...
Anyway, Mr Pratchett's goal has always been to create a world that would be able to live on its own, even after all the stories ended. He'd achieved that a long, long time ago, so I guess we don't have to be worried about the life on Discworld after he dies. I'm hoping a little, though, that he will write some kind of a 'last' book, to, you know, wrap it up... Then again, that's probably kinda stupid, what with all the talk about loose ends... The fact is, there are no loose ends in Discworld. For me, Terry kind of just picks the times from the life on it, when a 'noteworthy' story occurs, and lets it pretty much live on its own otherwise.
He is the ultimate narrator, because something tells me, that he doesn't have to 'make up' the stories. They just come to him, it's just something that naturally happens from time to time in the Discworld inside his head.
Also, no, I don't quite know why I've written this in English again. Good for me, anyway :)
Also, Big Bang? I know it backwards.

Ouch.
My eyes hurt.
On an unrelated topic, it's summer, finally! I wish to talk about responsibilities, and changes and wishes and adulthood, but hey, "My eyes hurt." just somehow fits the mood much better :D
Yes, I'm doing this in English today, and no, I'm not gonna say much today. I'm actually only writing here just to do that. Makes sense? Hope not.
Yeah, btw, I might have finally found my drawing style. Crazy, a little, but I like it! I'll probably post something in here, the way I see it.
And I've also made this picture folder called "My Men", in which I'm collecting the photos of The Handsome (from James Marco to Ed Norton, from Ralph Fiennes to Jeremy Irons]). It IS questionable and weird, but it gives me a sense of consent. Plus it's just pleasant to look at them from time to time.
Yes, I've been doing weird stuff lately. But at least I'm living.
And my mom and I are going to open a little bistro in our district's park. And THAT is going to be awesome.
