DISCWORLD, bitches!!

Seriously, just... DISCWORLD.

I love it SO HARD. Have loved since I was, like, really little (twelve, I guess?). Anyhoo, I've read all of the thirtysomething books since then - some of them multiple times - and I must say it gets better and better. Geezus.

Today, I was just looking at all the collectibles and posters and badges and tote bags (!) you can get at the official web and it made me kinda sad, I'm such a huge fan and I don't own shit. So yeah, maybe I could start buying all the awesomeness :)

Also, yes, Discworld used to be this magical, all-good world, but it's gotten a little more etwined with our reality - I've learned some time ago that Terry Pratchett has suffered from Alzheimer's for years. He runs (supports? Dunno the details) this fund to help find the cure, yet he's a fierce supporter of legalizing euthanasia... It's all quite sad, 'cause everytime I think of Discworld now, I think of this... It used to represent something neverending for me...

Anyway, Mr Pratchett's goal has always been to create a world that would be able to live on its own, even after all the stories ended. He'd achieved that a long, long time ago, so I guess we don't have to be worried about the life on Discworld after he dies. I'm hoping a little, though, that he will write some kind of a 'last' book, to, you know, wrap it up... Then again, that's probably kinda stupid, what with all the talk about loose ends... The fact is, there are no loose ends in Discworld. For me, Terry kind of just picks the times from the life on it, when a 'noteworthy' story occurs, and lets it pretty much live on its own otherwise.
He is the ultimate narrator, because something tells me, that he doesn't have to 'make up' the stories. They just come to him, it's just something that naturally happens from time to time in the Discworld inside his head.

Also, no, I don't quite know why I've written this in English again. Good for me, anyway :)

Also, Big Bang? I know it backwards.
